About Mia Sylvatica
The inspiration comes from the Latin name of the European beech, Sylvatica, which means “from the forest.” The forest is home to all kinds of strange and fascinating creatures, just as the world of illustration is filled with diverse beings. By freely expressing the ideas in my mind through drawing, each piece becomes like a resident of the forest—unique in its own way, growing into its one-and-only form!
