I am Ruuruumia, an illustrator with a keen sense of flavors from Taiwan. My mind is filled with boundless imagination and countless ideas. I’m fascinated by visual storytelling and love to use illustrations to record the little moments in life while escaping into the fantastical worlds I create. Oh, and I also love forest plants, French desserts, and consider myself a lifelong learning enthusiast!

The inspiration comes from the Latin name of the European beech, Sylvatica, which means “from the forest.” The forest is home to all kinds of strange and fascinating creatures, just as the world of illustration is filled with diverse beings. By freely expressing the ideas in my mind through drawing, each piece becomes like a resident of the forest—unique in its own way, growing into its one-and-only form!
